Janine and Stefan and family once Odi arrives will have 3 Kamia Elkhounds spanning over 4 generations of the same lineage. It is will great pride that I speak about this family and the care and attention they give their Elkhounds and I am so proud to have Odi join them.
Odi - Full Blood Male Elkhound

I know I speak on behalf of Michael and Sarah and all our great co-breeders each and every time we all place our pups and it is so exciting to see Odi go and play and have mentors as good as Maya and Nova.
Here is some details. The Great Grandmother of Odi is the famous Tekla, well it’s her sibling sister Maya that was first Elkhound with Janine and Stefan. Some time later on a later litter with Tekla a great female named Nova was selected to go up to keep Maya company with Janine and Stefan. Nova would be sister to the Grandmother of Odi, who is Luna.
Now, another couple generations, Odi is whelped and raised by Revna, daughter of Luna and Karu. What’s very cool is that Odi’s Grandfather Karu, he is also the father of Nova. You can’t make this up, too cool!
Odi is a Full Blood Elkhound so he will be a great addition to the family and will help to keep the property safe and be able to get some mentorship and skills from Maya and Nova although he is going to be such a sharp and protective family dog, he is full of great instincts. He will blend right in so well.
Odi is 5th generation in our lines on the Revna side and 4 generations on the ARCO side, his father, so we know this genetic extremely well having spent decades with them.
Of course Janine and Stefan and the children know them well too, Maya has been there for a decade.
So this is a fun time for Michael and Sarah and I, we get to see all our work in preservation at it’s finest and it’s a glorious time for Janine and Stefan and the children, as of course they get to experience young Odi and train and work with him, such fun times ahead.
The Kamia Elkhound preservation program is allowed to continue because of great families like Janine and Stefan who love great dogs, but also wish to allow the great breed to be there for them and the children in the future too. We are so grateful for the acceptance of our program and dogs and the care they give them.
