Elkhound pup socialization and training is a key aspect at Kamia Kennels in order to properly set the pup up for the best experience in life at his new home. The more the pup can be exposed to around his parents, siblings and pack the better for the pup.
Pups easily adapt and accept new things and noise, adventure and stimuli into their lives if surrounded by mentally and emotionally stable adult dogs. Our pups are extremely stable to begin with but having a pack atmosphere enhances the ability for them to learn and experience without fear and easily adjust.
Exposure to cats is a big deal for many of our clients as they have cats at home. Most of our co-breeders have cats and Michael and Sarah are a prime example of this. Torin and his litter mates and siblings are all exposed to a variety of other animals and the family cat is of course one. Torin lives to be around his buddy, and of course the cat loves Torin!
Exposure to new people, groups, new handlers, noise, all sorts of situations in another of these great things that we do at Kamia Kennels to ensure you get a very well settled and started pup.
Michael and Sarah give 110% all the time to raising and caring for the beautiful pups they have and all of us are proud of our association with them in our pursuit of raising the best Elkhounds possible.
Check out this awesome video of the pups having a blast with a nice group of folks that came by to visit and help the pups adjust to exposure.
