Michael and Sarah have put together an incredible display for all of us to see the preservation work they are doing up there. Michael is doing incredible photo and video work, using special camera’s and drone work to highlight this preservation.

I am so amazed and the beautiful landscape the dogs travel through and it’s so great for other families to be able to witness these ancient lineages of hiking dogs moving through this terrain and hanging with him while they hike.

Vaeda, Huff, Runa and Isla, Nova, Revna and of course Rita with her pups from the Leif pairing, Rovi and Caelidh. On display are many genetic lineages, all ancient old lines and this group of dogs will be carrying this forward.

Rovi will be having 6th generation just in our program, the dogs on display are the oldest known lineages of Elkhounds. It’s such an honor to see the dedication and commitment to the breed that is shown here.
