There are few males around in the world as handsome and striking as Loki! He is a son of Posso and Aina, born at Kamia Kennels. This was the first mating of the foundation female Aina, imported from Finland mated to the Foundation Male, Posso, also imported from Finland.

The master breeders had selected Aina and Posso to create the gene pool in North America for establishing the Jämthunds at Kamia Kennels. Kamia Kennels is the only preservation breeder in North America of these magnificent dogs.
Loki is owned by Sarah and Dawson and they give him an excellent home and life. He has adventure and hunting, outdoor activities, companions and is loved to no end.
This is one of the oldest known lineages in the world, Loki carries with him bloodlines that trace back to all foundation Swedish Elkhounds and this breed has been around the Scandinavian countries for centuries. Loki is a brother Helix who is also a stunning Jamthund male.

Our preservation breeding program is once again matching up the famous Posso with potentially two females this summer, one will be the Jamthund foundation female herself, Varella. She was also selected to become the foundation of the gene pool and was an import.
This will be a monumental mating and Kamia Kennels will be looking for additions to our genetic pool from this combination. The other mating is once again, Aurella and Posso. Aurella is of course a daughter of Varella. Since Aurella carries the similar genetics as Loki, we expect more of these magnificent males to come.
