Preservation lineages are the elite of Norwegian Elkhound breeding stock foundation dogs. They are used as preservation as they portray all the known traits and characteristics the breed is known for. Preservation lineages are free from genetic defects and are extremely healthy dogs. If the dogs are cared for in the natural elements, fed natural raw diets as they have for centuries, they flourish and continue to leave a lasting legacy of excellence in the offspring behind.
Tekla was born at our kennel in BC, I sat with her when she was born and I also sat with her daughter Luna when Tekla whelped out 10 pups on her first litter the night of the Super Moon. They both lived life to the fullest, hiking and working with me in the mountains and were the ultimate companion dogs.
Today offspring from both of these magnificent dogs carry the genetic forward. Varja, daughter of Tekla and Revna, daughter of Luna are both with our co-breeders Michael and Sarah up in Northern Alberta.
Riatta, a daughter of Luna is at our co-breeder Renee’s in TX. IHME a grandson of Tekla, son of Luna’s brother MANE is out with our co-breeder Brendan in MB. Teeko a full sibling brother to Luna, is here with me. He is a stud dog in our program.
We are proud to be able to continue to provide families with the ultimate Norwegian Elkhound companion and working dog. Contact us about pups on the ground now and upcoming.
