Norwegian Elkhounds are one of the oldest known family breeds. They are hunting, hiking and family oriented dogs. Kamia Kennels has been preserving these old genetics and striving to keep all old traits intact.

Mia was the first female in our program. We retained Tora to carry the genetic forward.

Tora then provided us the opportunity to hold back two daughters Tika and Kai to continue the genetic preservation.

Tika has multiple daughters in the program, but highlighted is Aspen, who is continuing the genetic preservation.

Kai also had mulitple daughters in the program but as with Aspen we highlight Rita who has begun to continue the genetic preservation as well.

We then come to the 5th generational females, the daughter of Aspen is Alder, a magnificent representation of all those incredible Norwegian Elkhounds in her background.

As we speak of continual excellence, the fabulous daughter of Rita is Lil Griz, again a magnificent representation of all the best traits in Norwegian Elkhound history.

These two beauties, Alder and Lil Griz are some of the very best in North America, totally capable to continue this genetic long into the future.
