New Elkhound Puppies Are Born
Rita has brand new Norwegian Elkhound Puppies
Can you believe it? Wow, second litter for this pair and we are so excited. You all know I loved that last set of puppies that were born over in Montana with Linda at her location. Leif and Rita were there for a while.
Now, both Leif and Rita are up in Northern Alberta. Golden Ring Elkhounds instagram page has a ton of details found here: https://www.instagram.com/goldenringelkhounds/
Michael and Sarah also have a tremendous Youtube site that compliments all the dogs so well. You should subscribe to that, he has a ton of great content that features the Elkhounds, his video skills are incredible too. Enjoy his videos here: Golden Ring Elkhound Video’s.
As most of you already know, the pups from this combination have more champions in more countries than any other lineage of Norwegian Elkhounds in the world.
Karu, the father of Rita comes out of that incredible lineage in Finland, all incredible working Norwegian Elkhounds.
Pretty Boy Leif his background is intense with Champions. I wrote a great article quite a few years ago, talking about Leif and Jaegar, two really incredible male Elkhounds. Time for a revisit if you have not seen it, great photos, stories and adventure: Two Elkhound Males At The Creek
In the next day or so I’ll be talking a lot more about the females behind this litter, considering of course there are only females, 4 of them. As well, just so you know, this is the first time we have had 4 females in one litter, with no males, I have had 3, but 4 is new.
So stay tuned, more on the great background of Rita coming up. Check out the video on Michael’s Youtube till I get back, it shows that phenomenal Vaeda in it, along with Pretty Boy Leif, you can watch it here: Awesome Elkhounds Hiking. Vaeda has a litter up there alongside Rita’s, oh Yeah! It’s Elkhounds Baby!
