Lindsay has been a long time friend and client of mine and Kamia Kennels. She has provided a wonderful home to many of our great dogs and continues to have endless adventures each day with them. She traveled out for her new companion, Vada this past weekend and we had an incredibly good visit and time.
Vada and Lindsay - Pals Immediately
Automatic Bonding, Vada and Lindsay, Great Times Ahead
Vada loved her from minute one, it’s amazing to see an Elkhound who knows this is her new handler. Truly an astonishing thing to witness and I have seen it so many times. The old breeders day, the pup knows it’s handler long before they meet, well, I believe it.
Lindsay and Vada have such great plans and of course Ruhne, one of our pups from six years ago came along to welcome and accompany Vada home. Over a decade and a half Lindsay came out for Bosco, her first male Norwegian from us. Years later Bosco’s younger brother Jaegar had a great son, this is Ruhne. Ruhne was mentored by Bosco, with Lindsay’s great guidance.
Today, Ruhne is now mentoring Vada. Oh they will have some fun those two. Vada is a big Swedish girl and she will learn fast and play hard, Ruhne will need to be on his toes, no doubt.
Our sincere appreciation and heartfelt Thank You goes to Lindsay for working with us and her confidence in our program and of course, our great dogs. She has some of the very best we have raised, no doubt about it.
Lindsay also brought me a special visitor, my old pal and best mentor, Aila, she is now back home with me here. Aila is going to help me mentor the other sisters of Vada, which are Hada and Luna. It’s going to be So Great to have my best pal Aila on the trails again. I truly, truly missed her.
Lindsay has been so great to keep her there for me while I needed to make some changes and I’ll write a full story on Aila, but suffice to say, she is here.
Vada and Lindsay, along with Ruhne already have an unshakeable bond. It happened instantly, I was astounded. I knew she was good with dogs but it’s such a great thing to see Vada just lock on and as they say, it’s all history from here. Great fun times await.
Lindsay and Blair are outdoors enthusiasts, they are always out in remote terrain and this is one of the best dogs for her. Vada can easily match Ruhne for size, stamina, scenting and protection work, so it’s going to be awesome getting the stories in the future of these great dogs with such awesome handlers.
We once again Thank Lindsay and Blair for the great home and life they provide for these awesome Elkhounds.
