Ella as we call her for short is the magnificent foundation Jämthund female that was chosen by the master breeders to be the second female providing the genetic base. Ella is a very strong instinct rich female coming from double Champion hunting parents and she brings everything to her pups.

On her first litter mated to Ark we held back a stunning daughter named Aurella. She is continuing the genetic program and preservation work and will have another litter this summer with Posso. I’ll fill you in on Posso soon. Posso will be paired up with Varella this summer also. We are so excited about this.
Ella’s second litter with Ark we held back two pups, ARCO a male and Runa a female. ARCO currently has a litter of pups on the ground right now. Ella was selected and brought into North America to establish the base of genetics for the Jämthund breed which she is doing in perfect fashion, but also as an outcross and base for the return of the Fullbloods.
The ancient Norrland blood line that Kamia Kennels has is one of if not the only strain of Norrland blood remaining and is instinct rich, far beyond the spectrum of standard Elkhounds. The vast range of skill and abilities of the Norrland lines we have required extremely good and strong genetics. The Master breeders selected Varella as she would allow all the aspects of the ancient breed to flourish.
We are so excited today that we can see decades of work coming to fruition with the new litter from ARCO and Revna. I’ll be sharing a lot more on the background of Revna as well in the near future.
But now I wanted to showcase again that beautiful daughter of Varella’s, the stunning Runa. She is out having a blast in the Athabasca region up with Isla, who is half sister to Runa, as she is an Ark daughter. Runa is a dark beauty like her mother. Very special as she will continue the Jämthund lines with Posso and also Runa can contribute to the Fullblood revival. Exciting times.
