Oh Wow! What can I say about the tremendous son of Pretty Boy Leif and the Beautiful Silver Nova. Wow! Kano is such a Rock Star! Video of Kano training with his dad Leif is below.

We are so very proud to have Michael and Sarah raising this magnificent young stud Norwegian Elkhound . This is a great spot in the North country of Alberta to be raised in a natural environment and surrounded by extremely skilled Mentor dogs, his dad no less one of the best.
Both Pretty Boy Leif and Silver Nova were brought in to our kennel as outcross bloodlines. In order to preserve our ancient working lineages we needed outcross males and females. The criteria for selecting these outcross Elkhounds was extremely high level standards. Both Leif and Silver Nova are at the top of the game in North America.
We need to move now to our second generation of outcross and have combined these two bloodlines and Kano is the result. He will go on to preserve and work with all of our exceptional and rare working lines.
The famous Takoda Norrland lineage, the Karu Finnish Bloodline, the ancient Kalia and GAEDA blood and of course the Kamp/Tekla/Tuva Norway/Ravenstone lines all can be preserved using Kano. Kano will match up in about a year with one of the very best females in the world, Revna. She is the ultimate bloodline as she carries a great deal of Norrland, Karu, Ravenstone and Kano is the perfect match for this preservation.
Kano will be in time of course for a litter or two with my old sidekick, the beauty Karia. Karia will soon have a litter with Teeko. Out of this litter of immense preservation proportions we shall select a female for Kano. The Teeko / Karia combination is profound in that we bring together The historic Takoda/Tekla genetic, combine that in with the Kalia/Karu genetic and then pair that with the Leif/Nova blood. The combination of genetics is incredible. In old world breeding they call that “A Stacked Pedigree”. Literally can’t get more good dogs in it. Kamp/Bram are in the back end of Tekla, as well we all know how great the father of Kalia, Hachi matched up with the Bram/Tora daughter Kai. Kamu and Rittu are both the ultimate hunting bloodlines of Finland, parents of Karu. Karu’s grandfather Kassu is a legend.
Leif’s historic background, literally the who is who of American bloodlines. Silver Nova’s prestigious ancestors are the very best we could find. Can you imagine the pups coming from the daughter or daughters of Karia and this powerhouse master of genetics Kano? Whoa.
That is just a few samples of females. We could get Tiera up for a mating, the famous Tuva/Karu daughter. We will no doubt get a litter with Rita, the stunning 4th generation daughter of Kai and Karu. This brings in the most famous powerhouse females of all Kamia, Tora and her mother Mia. Varja of course is running around training Kano, keeping him in line up at Michael and Sarah’s, no better match exists than Varja for Kano.
It is a great time for Elkhounds in North America. We are proud of Kano. He will be a stud to preserve like no other. Very cool to have him growing and developing.
Here is the Rock Star himself, moves so smooth and easy, power exudes out of this rascal, attention to the handler like it’s hard to believe. But, believe me I know it’s there, you will see it too, so easy to spot. Look at how proud Leif is too, easy to see.
