Hiking the boreal forest with Elkhounds in a stunning setting and video quality is excellent
Michael has the ability to film in such a way that you are immersed in the experience of going through the boreal forest with the dogs. The location and scenery up in his Region, Athabasca area north of Edmonton along the river is incredible.
The fact that he has the greatest dogs makes the adventure so unique. I have seen his film capabilities before, but this is so cool.
I’ll tell you about a few of the great Elkhounds you find on that video.
Pretty Boy Leif, he is the mentor for that group and he is such a solid Rock Star, never wavers, steady and dependable, this is such a great Norwegian Elkhound.
VAEDA, she is the daughter of the famous Vida and of course Pretty Boy Leif, you will find her behind Michael almost the entire way, she is the one with the big belly, she will be whelping soon.
You’ll see the magnificent Huff, he comes in and out to show great respect to Michael, what a tremendous young male.
Oh and the beautiful Silver Nova pops on and out, she is around and about, what a tremendous female.
Varja and Revna are easy to spot, true working Norwegian Elkhounds and stunning daughters of Karu. Revna the darker of the two.
The other great female you see a lot of is my old sidekick, Karia. What an amazing hiking female.
There are the big young Fullbloods moving through the forest all the time as well, I am sure I spotted Isla and ARCO in there, and Runa might have been around as well. These are amazing working dogs.

Michael as pups on the ground now from Rita and Leif, incredible females, and VAEDA she is due to whelp shortly as well. With the ability of the group to mentor these pups they will have awesome support to bring out all the instinctive traits. What a great time to get an Elkhound!
